The Museum Outlet’s 15 day Refund policy

If you are not completely satisfied with the product, The Museum Outlet’s Return & Exchange policy offers you an option to return or exchange a product within 15 days from the date of receipt.

If you choose to exchange the item for reason of mismatch of size or receipt of a defective item, you will be provided with a replacement of the item, free of cost. However an exchange is subject to availability of the item in our stock. In case of return, you can either opt for a store credit or a full refund of the amount paid.

At the time of return, please make sure that product is in its original packaging along with all the accessories and tags intact along with the invoice.

What is The Museum Outlet’s Return & Refund Policy?

We strive towards providing you the best customer experience. However if you’re not completely satisfied with the product, you can return your order within 15 days from the date of purchase for a full refund of the amount paid.  We ask that you return us the product in its original condition and unused along with the original packaging, tags and accessories (if any). You are welcome to try on a product but please take adequate measure to preserve its condition.

Returns, Exchange and Refunds are valid on all the orders. For orders with minimum value of $10 and to have incurred a shipping cost of $2, following shipping charges conditions are applicable.

Shipping charges will not be deducted if:

-          The product you wish to return has quality issue & amount has to be refunded. 

Shipping charges will be deducted if:

-          The product you wish to return that has any issue other than size/product quality.

You can also opt for The Museum Outlet store credit. This credit does not have an expiration date and can be used to purchase from The Museum Outlet in the future.

Once the product is received at our warehouse, it goes under a thorough quality check. If the product passes the quality check process, the refund/store credit is processed.

Please note: For hygiene reasons, we do not accept returns for jewellery and apparel.

How do I return a product?

Will you pick up returns from my home/office?

Of course! We take care of all necessary pick up arrangements from your delivery location.

If we’re unable to provide for a pickup in your city, we request you to ship the returns package to us through a courier of your choice. In such cases, we will reimburse the cost of shipment in your The Museum Outlet account in the form of store credit. For this, you will be required to send a scanned copy of the courier receipt to our customer care at info@themuseumoutlet.com 

Are there certain categories of products which are non-returnable?

For hygiene reasons, we do not accept returns for jewellery and apparel.

How long will the return process take?

Once you’ve placed a return request with our customer care, it usually takes up to 72 hours to have the product to get picked up from your location. The product once received at our warehouse undergoes a quality check which takes upto 48 hours. As soon as the product passes the inspection, a refund/store credit is processed.

How will I receive my Refund?

In case of prepaid returns, the amount will be credited back into your account within 2-3 working days after the product has passed the quality check process. However, in case of COD returns, the refund can take upto 7-10 days since the refund is routed through cheque or RTGS.

In case you opt for store credit, it will reflect in your The Museum Outlet account within 24 hours after the quality check process is cleared. This credit can be used to The Museum Outlet products in the future.

If I return a product on my own, do I get back the shipping charges?

Yes! In such cases, we will reimburse the cost of shipment which meet under our shipping charges conditions (see below), in your The Museum Outlet account in the form of store credit. For this, you will be required to send a scanned copy of the courier receipt to our customer care at info@themuseumoutlet.com

Which items can be exchanged?

You can exchange almost everything if you are not 100% satisfied. However, for hygiene concerns, we do not accept returns for jewellery and apparel.

What items can I buy in exchange?

You can purchase any product of your liking. However, the final price of exchanged products should be equal to or more than the price of returned items.

How soon will be the exchanged product delivered?

Exchanged product is dispatched as soon as the returned product has passed the quality check. Normal delivery schedule apply for the delivery of exchanged products as well. However, if there’s a delay, we will keep you informed via email and SMS.

Will I be charged for exchange?

Exchanges are free of cost! But if you choose a product of higher value, the difference will have to be incurred by you.

Can I cancel the exchange order?

If you wish to cancel the exchange order, please get in touch with our customer care as soon as possible with your order number. As long as your order has not been dispatched, it can be cancelled and the amount can be refunded to you in form of store credit.
