EGYPTIAN GOLDEN FLY AMULET
The golden fly was an honorary award given to the Egyptian military for persistence in attacking the enemy. This is a replica of a fly symbol, originated in the 18th Dynasty, from the burial of Queen Ah-hotpe, Western Thebes.
24K antique gold plate over pewter. Earring posts are sterling silver.
